Sunflower Seeds ~ For the Birds!

This morning I heard

in the windbreak.

My bird feeders are

all out of feed.

So, Erin and I

gathered up our sunflowers.

 Which are all ready

for the birds.

It was a lot of work.

For 3-year-old hands

to cut off sunflower heads.

But it was worth it.

For a nice fall bouquet

even if the chick-a-dees don't find it.

Little projects are fun

with my "Little E"

  1. I was ready to cut down my "volunteer" sunflowers yesterday and start my fall yard clean-up when I noticed about 8 small brown birds flitting back and forth between the sunflowers and the protection of my hedge. It will be hard to cut them down now knowing that they are a "found" food source for those eager feathered feeders! BARB

  2. Erin sure is a cutie pie! I love having bird food out - we have a one legged green finch that loves to eat with us at his feeder.

  3. Erin is darling!! What beautiful eyes she has. Jodi, you take wonderful photos!!

How is your class coming along?

  4. There is a blog award for you on my blog, but NO pressure to follow the rules. Just wanted to let you know I think you are awesome!

  5. Little E is beautiful, just like Mom ... Thanks 4 the prayers ... and your Sunflower heads are hudge.

Welcome ~ share your beautiful thoughts.
