Look at the birds of the air,
for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns;
yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not of more value than they?
Which of you by worrying
can add one cubit to his stature?
Matthew 6:26-27 NKJV
Give your entire attention
to what God is doing right now,
and don't get worked up
about what may or may not happen tomorrow.
God will help you
deal with whatever hard things
come up when the time comes.
Matthew 6:33 ~ The Message
Got some worrying going on
in the house.
So I found the Word,
gathered some music,
and made art.
Erin made some "curly-cue" art also.
"Look, Mom, my first sunshine with curly-cues!"
Joining Jennifer and the artists for a sneak peek in the studio:
LOVE this, Jodi...my favorite piece I think...that saying speaks to me and your birdies are darling. Will you be selling this piece??
ReplyDeleteDear Leslie, oh thank you. This piece is a gift, but I'd certainly make one like it for you . . . or have a print made!
ReplyDeleteGreat verses and great art! Love the curly-cues... adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute how you both did art together, to chase away some worrying :) Love the birds!
ReplyDeleteJodi Ulschmid, "My name is Erin. Thank you for loving the curly-cues so much! And I am 4 and 1/2."
ReplyDeleteLove the quote and it's one of my favorite things to say/think...along with "give it up to God" and "this too shall pass". My kids use to roll their eyes at me...ya know teenagers...now they say it themselves as adults. Lovely art and it's great to have a calming thing to do to take your mind off your worries...I do the same thing. Have a wonderful week. Fondly, Roberta

I think that curly cue sun is inspiring me! Tweener and I did art at the kitchen table this week - me working on sparrows, she worked on foxes....love the sweet collaged birdies. Have you noticed all the birds that artists are producing?! Blessings!
