It's not necessary to travel too far
for fall scenes
when the little creek bed a few steps from my house
holds treasures like these.
The only signs of a crowd
on
White Owl Creek
are the footsteps of some
white tail deer
that I scare out of their
holes.
Or the laughter of my kids and nieces
floating on the breeze
playing in the yard
Or our beagle
Toby
baying with a sound like he's caught in a trap
which is really his extreme delight
in doing what he was made to do:
hunt rabbits.

beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures. And - do you have White Owls there? This summer was the first time that I've heard a Great Horned Owl close to my home and it's still there.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! I've always loved taking pictures in the fall, probably my favorite time of year. =)

Beautiful photos! I miss the fall. We're having 90 degree temps. and I just want to wear my jeans and a jacket.
