I wept!! ...I, too, was there in the '80's. I wept!! This work is just so moving to me! I thought I would be that way at Mt. Rushmore, but the Crazy Horse Memorial is the one that did it to me. And much of the why has to do with the continuation of the legacy. I just hope that when it's time for my daughter and son-in-law to take their kids there, they ask grandma to go along!
